Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our dedicated team. As a Payroll Specialist at Crystal HR & Payroll Ltd, you will play a crucial role in accurately processing payrolls, ensuring compliance with legislation, and providing exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll legislation, possess extensive experience with payroll software such as BrightPay and Sage 50, and be familiar with pension processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll accurately and efficiently using BrightPay and Sage 50 payroll software.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation to ensure compliance in all payroll activities.
  • Handle complex payroll tasks, including salary calculations, wage deductions, tax withholdings, and benefits administration.
  • Collaborate with clients to address their payroll-related inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Manage pension processes, including handling various pension companies and staying updated on pension legislation.
  • Utilise payroll bureau experience or experience in an accountancy setting to process payrolls effectively.
  • Prepare payroll reports and documentation for clients and internal purposes.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and update internal processes accordingly.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive payroll information.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Thorough understanding of payroll legislation and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using BrightPay and Sage 50 payroll software.
  • Familiarity with pension processes and experience working with various pension companies.
  • Experience in a payroll bureau or accountancy setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Professional and friendly demeanor with a customer-centric approach.
