And so it grew
Before long, it became a family affair. Jon's wife, Diane, and daughter, Sarah, helped wherever they could, answering calls, preparing payslips and supporting the business through those early years.
Payroll wasn't Diane's passion, but people were.
She believed every client deserved the same level of care and respect, regardless of their size or budget. It was a simple principle that became part of Crystal's DNA and remains at the heart of the business today:
Treat everyone with the same respect.
Whether you're a start-up with one employee or a large employer with hundreds of staff, you'll receive the same level of service, support and attention from our team.
By 2010, Diane had one request: she wanted her kitchen table back.
So Jon moved into Crystal's first office.
Nothing fancy. Because payroll doesn't need to be fancy. It simply needs to work.
Over the years, Crystal has grown steadily through referrals, recommendations and long-term client relationships. As payroll has evolved, we've evolved with it, embracing new technology, improving our processes and expanding the services we offer.
Today, we continue to invest in smarter systems, automation and AI where it genuinely improves the service we provide, helping clients benefit from a payroll service that is both personal and efficient.
