About us
Crystal HR & Payroll Ltd is a growing UK payroll and HR services business working with SMEs, accountants, and owner-managed businesses.
Marketing is currently managed in-house by the directors alongside day-to-day client delivery. Despite being largely self-taught and without a formal growth framework in place, this approach has consistently generated 5–8 new client sign-ups per month.
We’re now looking to bring full ownership of marketing in-house with the right person, and build on what already works in a more structured, repeatable way.
The role
We’re looking for a hands-on, commercially minded B2B marketer who cares about enquiries, lead quality, and conversion, not just impressions or activity.
This is not a junior role and not a brand-only role.
You’ll take ownership of our marketing activity, improve what already exists, and help us build a clear, predictable lead funnel that supports business growth.
There will be a short transition period working alongside our external agency, after which you’ll fully own marketing direction and execution.
As the business grows, there is clear scope for this role to increase to full-time.
What you’ll be responsible for
Website & content
- Owning and managing the company website from a marketing perspective
- Creating and optimising landing pages and content in WordPress
- Improving website usability and conversion
- Managing on-page SEO and monitoring website performance
- Working with developers where technical changes are required
Social media & visibility
- Planning, creating, and scheduling B2B content (primarily LinkedIn)
- Writing clear, practical posts aligned to campaigns and business priorities
- Ensuring social activity supports lead generation, not just awareness
Campaigns & lead generation
- Planning and executing a clear monthly marketing plan
- Managing and improving LinkedIn outreach, email campaigns, and content themes
- Ensuring website, content, and social activity work together as a funnel
Reporting & insight
- Reporting on what actually matters: enquiries, lead quality, and outcomes
- Advising the MD on what to focus on, and what to stop doing
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in B2B marketing (services preferred)
- Strong written communication skills, clear, practical, and commercial
- Confident creating LinkedIn content for B2B audiences
- Confident creating social media posts
- Comfortable managing a WordPress website (no coding required)
- Working knowledge of on-page SEO and website performance best practice
- Confident working independently and taking ownership
Payroll experience is not required, full training will be provided.
Salary & bonus
- £38,000 – £44,000 FTE (pro-rata for 2.5 days per week)
- Further bonus structure and progression discussed at interview
